Types of shovels
Shovels are used to scoop up loose soil, sand or gravel. Depending on the geographical region and their use, you can find various models. In Belgium, the sand shovel with a handle of 130 cm is the most common, while in the Netherlands the Dutch shovel with a handle of 95 cm or 110 cm is more widely used.
For all shovels it is important that they are fitted with a well curved handle. The curve ensures that the shovel is in balance so you need less force when scooping. In addition to the classic wooden handle, Polet also offers shovels with a fiberglass reinforced handle, which is up to 3 times stronger than wood.
